Wow!!! Being sober for a week actually helps someone play better poker? Who knew. After taking a week off from getting drunk, I had my best week in poker in a long time. I was successful in nearly every cash session, and final tabled a tournament. If only I had the discipline to continue to limit my drinking. It appears I only will have a few more sober days before I get back on the wagon(or off?) since I have big plans to get rocked this weekend at the badger football game and country concert. It is pretty boring staying in for a weekend. The following weekend is at East Lancing for the Badger game, the weekend after in the cities for the Packer game, and New Orleans looms shortly after that. Each of those weekends guarantees to be a shit show. Hopefully in the next few days I can grind out a few more thousand so I can comfortably afford these trips. At the least I know that if I focus and put the hours in I can make a nice chunk of money playing poker. Playing poker optimally for 40 hours a week is a lot harder than it sounds.
